Privacy Policy and Data Usage Policy

Shoot-Store-Share (SSS) is a platform developed by the Centre of Innovation for Supply Chain Management (COI-SCM) in Republic Polytechnic.
General Data use
Data and photos you store in SSS belong to you. You have complete control over these photos. They will not by shared with third parties.
Android application
The SSS Android application needs a number of permissions to run. Below an explanation for the use of each permission is given:- precise location (GPS and network-based) Phone location is needed to geo-tag the jobs captured by the application. The latitude and longitude get converted into a street address using reverse geocoding
- read phone status and identity
- read the contents of your USB storage Photos can be attached to jobs not only using the camera, but they can also be selected from the gallery
- modify or delete the contents of your USB storage Photos taken by the camera are temporarily stored on the device. These photos get deleted after they are successfully uploaded to the cloud backend
- take pictures and videos The photos that are attached to the job are taken using the device rear camera
- receive data from Internet The application needs Internet connectivity to send your data and photos to the cloud server
- view network connections
- pair with Bluetooth devices The SSS application uses Bluetooth Low Energy Beacons for indoor location tracking
- access Bluetooth settings The SSS application uses Bluetooth Low Energy Beacons for indoor location tracking
- full network access Photos and data are submitted to the cloud server
- control vibration The device will vibrate when a new job is assigned to the operator
- prevent device from sleeping When adding information of photos to jobs, the application will not go into sleep mode
